Each Tuesday we gather for corporate prayer. If you have a prayer request, please let us know. We’d be happy to hold you up in prayer!
In 2009 we opened a thrift store. Our goal was two-fold. The first was to be able to help those in our community who needed a hand up. The second was to offer good usable products to those in our community who liked to shop for bargains. We have been working diligently on both these goals for two years now.
Our community has gotten behind our work and we’ve been able to do some amazing things not just for Los Banos but for the world. From this store, we have just last month donated 340 coats and jackets to Coats for Kids. We’ve handed out food baskets, fresh fruit and vegetables, household goods, appliances, furniture, clothing and more. We’ve helped other ministries, and have sent missions to other countries, as well as disaster relief to those areas hit in storms here in the United States. Oasis RMA has been a blessing.
So 2011 brings along another blessing. We are moving to a new location. One three times the size that we have been in. It’s a daunting task but one that we are blessed to be able to make. So please pray for us as we move to to 947 Pacheco Blvd. It’s located right next to JCPenny. We’ll be all moved in by the first of January. We look forward to serving you from there!
Would you covenant together with us and pray for a smooth transition? We’d truly appreciate it!

Tuna for us is an American staple. Most of us like tuna sandwiches. How many of us got tuna sandwiches in our lunch boxes as kids?
So could you hear us jumping for joy when we got a call that 8,000 lbs of tuna were available? We immediately thought of how it could impact Haiti, only where would can openers come from? God is good though! The tuna was in packages and already seasoned with lemon pepper! Over 14,000 meals. Hallelujah! So this past Thursday it was loaded on a truck along with 20,000 pounds of clothing and household goods to go to missions!
We are a little church, in the poorest county of California but we are doing our small part of something big called Kingdom work. That blesses me deeply. You don’t even know! I don’t often post here how many things we do but I’m going to start because I want to encourage all of you who read this blog to do your small part.
The day before Mother’s Day we went out the poorest neighborhoods of our city and went door to door.
“Hi, I’m from Oasis, I have some kid’s multivitamins, some school supplies, toys and senior joint health supplements. Could you use some? No, no, there is no cost, we just want to be a blessing and help out. No, we aren’t asking for a donation but do you need prayer for anything?”
An elderly woman said she had prayed for the exact joint health supplements we had. She said they helped her so much but at $18.99 a bottle she could not afford them on a fixed income and had to cut them out of her budget. We gave her six months worth. A small part of something bigger.
Today we gave a bed to a pregnant woman who was sleeping on the floor. Yesterday we gave a dresser to a family who had nothing to put their clothes into. Little things. Perhaps insignificant in the scheme of things but Jesus said, in as much as we did this for others we did this for him. Why does that make me cry? It blesses me so!
